Yes, why film? With so many other media options like video or sketching, it can feel odd to stick with something that many professionals and amateurs have left behind.

The world keeps moving toward perfection and speed, and there’s nothing wrong with that—some situations require a different set of tools to get the job done.

But for me, it’s the tactile experience of loading the camera with film, closing the lid, cocking the film lever, looking through the viewfinder, composing my image, and taking the shot, all while hoping I didn’t screw it up.

The joy of film, for me, lies in the wait.

In this not-so-humble statement, I’ve challenged myself to create a series of photos from my past shots that capture the art of waiting.
