Slightly late morning coffee and recollection of yesterday

An industry standard?

I woke up pretty late today, dragged myself out. My cats followed me around, one inside wanted to get out, one outside wanted to get in. I filled my pot and boiled it, while getting my glassware ready for the pour. I lit a cigarette for a fresh morning drag. I opened my link and skimmed through some images from yesterday

It was a cloudy day, and I took my camera and light meter out. It was during break time on Friday. The site was eerily silent, with only a Friday sermon from a nearby mosque breaking the stillness. These gentlemen, the backbone of the industry manual laborers, foot soldiers, and the vanguard of construction world were too tired to care. What they needed at that moment was to find a spot under the shade

The shade was a place where they could rest their feet, take off their latex boots, and simply straighten their backs against a wall

But most of the time, it’s their makeshift workstation, with leftover materials make do as a cushion against the rock where they rest their backs

Some of them were simply lying down in the most darndest places possible. the joy of napping is the simplest luxury these man could afford

It’s always the contrasting reality that makes me pause and think. It’s never been this simple to see the difference

By the end of my skimming, my water was boiling, and I started pouring my cup of coffee. Then, I began writing my thoughts down. Well, a good five minutes well spent arranging my thoughts for today entry
